Let us help maintain your child's routine 6 month visits. Our goal at each appointment is to get an exam, cleaning, fluoride, and any necessary X-rays. Our Doctors are available to ensure your patient is getting the optimum experience. We make sure to use kid friendly words in order to educate children about their own dental health and healthy habits. Our entire approach is geared towards our patients happiness, and giving them the tools to create the best oral health possible.
Sometimes even with the best proactive care some teeth need treatment. Our Doctors have adopted several versatile techniques to make sure we can keep patients comfortable during any necessary work. We do our best to make sure the entire visit is positive while using only kid friendly words.
Although we would love for all children to complete dental work in office, we understand that all children are not alike. Certain factors such as special needs, anxiety, and previous medical conditions help determine the best mode of treatment for our patients. After diagnosis and discussion, our Doctors may recommend your child complete treatment in a surgical center setting. This is a one stop shop mode of treatment, and allows children to complete restorative care in a safe controlled, and anxiety free environment. This mode of care is only diagnosed when deemed medically necessary for comfort, and overall health. We strive towards open communication with you to help make this a stress free option when necessary.
A dental sealant creates a highly effective barrier against decay. Sealants are thin coatings applied to the chewing surfaces of a child’s permanent back teeth, where most cavities form. Sealants help “seal out” food and plaque, and reduces the risk of decay. Applying a sealant is an easy procedure and can be performed in one dental visit. Teeth are first cleaned, then conditioned and dried. Once the sealant is applied it flows into the grooves of the tooth, and is then hardened with a special light. Your child will be able to eat right after the appointment.
